Welcome to the May Hill & Huntley Cub Pack!!! Currently, we have got 15 young boys in the Pack, which make us one of the biggest Packs in the District. The boys, all aged between 8 and 10½, enjoy a fun and enjoyable evening once a week. November 2001 saw the annual Cub swimming gala. Unfortunately, this clashed with the Cub's day out at Legoland Windsor. This meant that only 4 lads could make it to the gala, but they still came a creditable 7th out of the 10 teams that entered. B-R-A- V-O!!! In August 2001, 6 lads and 4 Leaders attended our annual Summer Camp at our HQ on the side of May Hill. To find out how they got on, please click here! LEGOLAND WINDSOR TRIP 2001 The day was 24th November 2001, the place, well I think you can work that out. This was the first time that the Group had taken the Association up on their offer of a day out just for those involved with Scouting, and I think that we will be going again. Leaving HQ at 8.15am, 1 Beaver, 4 Cubs, 3 Leaders and 8 parents set off for a fun day out. After a long journey and several cries of "are we nearly there yet?", we arrived at the park at 10.15am. When we got there, the kids all grabbed their tickets, and headed for the gates. After several hours of panning for gold, eating a feast in the castle, and getting drenched on the log flume (well, some of us did!!!) amongst many other things, we all met back at the bus for the long journey homebound. This was somewhat quieter than the journey down there, mainly because half of the bus, including some of the leaders, were asleep for most of the trip. A great day was enjoyed by all, and the lad's said that they would come again next year if there were to be one. |
