Welcome to the May Hill & Huntley Cub Pack!!!
Summer Camp 2001

At 7pm on Thursday 16th August 2001, 6 Cubs were shipwrecked at the Scout Barn May Hill.

The weekend started with building Treasure Island (setting up camp), this was followed with a hike to the top of Deadmans Point (May Hill).  The evening ended with the boys returning to Peg Leg Paul's Tavern for singing and drinking before boarding the ship for bed.

Friday started with bright weather and the boys attempting to escape from Treasure Island (rafting).  Upon return to the campsite, we all learnt how to hunt (archery).

The evenings entertainment took the shape of singing and eating around the campfire.  An early night was had by all.

Saturday saw the boys exploring the island whilst undertaking several tasks,one of which was to follow a tracking trail laid by local tribesmen.

Various bases were completed including tile pictures, sand pictures, and mug painting.

As the evening drew in, we had to retreat to the safety of the cave from the tropical storm, for a couple hours of games.

Again, an early night was had by all.

Sunday saw all the boys pack up the camp onto the boat and board the vessel for home.
